NEW APPLICATION FORMS AND FEES FROM 6th April 2014

The UKVI, formerly known as UKBA,  is due to publish new application forms, following changes made to the immigration rules and application fees. These forms are due to be published in April 2014.

It is important to note that all applications made on or after this date will be considered under the revised Immigration Rules and the new submission fees. Appointments booked and paid for prior to the changes will be subject to the pre-change price structures even if the actual appointment attendance date is after April 6th.

When making an application it is pivotal to ensure that the correct and up to date form, fees and supporting documents are provided to avoid the application being rejected/ invalidated.

ONLINE PAYMENT:
Payment for your application is not handled directly by the UKVI but by the outsourced organisation WellPay.

It is extremely important that the correct online fees are paid as currently neither partial payments or partial refunds are an option. Instead, a full refund has to be made to the credit card from which the original payment was taken BUT the card is not credited on the same day. Therefore any error in payment identified on the day that you attend will require a source of ADDITIONAL funds for the correct amount.

Priority Postal Applications

Alternative services to the Premium, Super Premium and Postal Service for Tier 2: more affordable than the premium services and far quicker than the regular postal service! Since April 2013, the Home Office has been offering the Priority Postal route to Tier 2 applicants. Priority Postal applications are normally decided within 10 working days from receipt of the application by the UKVI, which is far quicker than the regular postal services and far less expensive than the premium and super premium service. Applications filed under the normal postal service can be expedited by switching them into the Priority Postal route whilst pending.
